Rebecca the Student…

Allow Me to Ponder…

I have spent most of my life believing I was the uncreative one in my family. I can’t paint, I can only play music someone else composed, and, though my English papers got top grades, my teacher told me they were too formulaic. Still, half a lifetime of reading books of all sorts scattered some seeds in my heart, and a few years ago, they began to sprout. It took a tragedy and the hand of God himself, but now, when my heart cries out with wonder or pain, I can paint the truth with words. Moses gained the subject matter of his writing as he knelt before a burning bush. I also sit in awe, listening for the name of the Lord, as revealed by his Word.

For it is no empty word for you, but your very life, and by this word you shall live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.
